TWITTER'VIEW WITH AUTHOR PENELOPE CROWE

Let's begin with the @PenelopeCrowe #TWITTER'VIEW #Author of #Horror #Thriller #100UnfortunateDays #Absorbed

Dragonheart: How are you this evening Penelope?

Penelope: Wonderful! Thanks so much--I think this is a great idea :) And you??

Dragonheart: Wonderful as well. Thank you so much for agreeing to be here with me tonight.

Penelope: My pleasure! Thank you for having me. Fun and exciting!

Dragonheart: Tell us about your current project(s).

Penelope: My #newrelease is a #kids #Easter #ColoringBook called Francine and the Super Spy Bunny I am also working on a #horror #anthology called Daughter of Nostradamus and another coloring book.

Dragonheart: Wow, busy lady. What sparked the idea for this project?

Penelope: The #kidsbooks are always popping into my head. I have had a few in there for some time now. The #horror is from a mean husband..Just kidding--the #dark and #horror has always been an interest--especially #psychologicalhorror

Dragonheart: Ahhh, I see. When can we expect to see the release of your newest project?

Penelope: The next coloring book--Penelope's Garden will be out within a month--and Daughter I hope for a summer #release.

Dragonheart: Can't wait! Music seems to influence a lot of authors, what music influences your writing?

Penelope: Sometimes an entire story pops in my head from listening. A #WhiteStripes song inspired the story This is a Legal Contract. Then it is just a matter of getting the whole idea down before I forget. #teasers found here http://bit.ly/qToHJb

Dragonheart: #Interesting! How do you handle "writers block"?

Penelope: Hmmm...I have the opposite--too many things to write and not enough hours in the day. I also draw--the #art takes lots of time

Dragonheart: That's a good thing! Who has been your greatest influence?

Penelope:
Oh boy...#RodSerling #Hemingway #AynRand (not because I love her books but her mind) #LizPhair #Mozart #FrankZappa #RoaldDahl #vanGogh #Davinci

Dragonheart: Do you or have you ever had a muse?

Penelope: Oh so many things are my #muse. Depends on the day--and my thinking--sometimes an #angel sometimes a #devil.

Dragonheart:What one subject is TABOO in your writing?

Penelope:I don't want to write or read about children being injured or molested--I also stay away from pure gore. Dull to me.

Dragonheart: Understood and admired? What do you do when you aren't working?

Penelope: Love to see #horrormovies! Always looking for something to #scare me! Not easy--I am an adrenaline junkie with that!!

Dragonheart: If there was one book you wish you'd written, which would it be?

Penelope: #HarryPotter or Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Or the Old Man and the Sea. #Gorgeous #writing.

Dragonheart: All great books! What is your greatest passion?

Penelope: #Art is my passion! #Writing, #drawing, #painting--making your OWN beautiful life.
Dragonheart: And you are #amazing at them all! What ONE word best describes you?

Penelope: Thank you!! #Creative! There are so many ways to do things and I like to try them ALL!!

Dragonheart: You're very welcome! What do you do to relax?

Penelope: Love to go out to eat or chat with friends, doodle, play #guitar (poorly), #movies, #draw.

Dragonheart: #Fun! Is there one, current, tv show that is "can't miss" for you?

Penelope: A few actually. LOVE #BigBangTheory and #Jerseylicious because I used to know the owner of the salon, and #CelebrityApprentice.

Dragonheart: I love #BigBangTheory too. Money is no object, where do you go?

Penelope: Fly to #France and take a train across #Europe--

Dragonheart: Sounds amazing! Tell us, please, the first two books on your TBR list.

Penelope: Memoirs of a #Geisha and The Passage.

Dragonheart: How do you choose #character names?
Penelope: So funny! #Character names pick themselves--the characters seem to appear with the #names intact.

Dragonheart: #Amazing! Tell us one thing we may not know about you.

Penelope: I was an editorial/free-lance make up artist for a while. Did make up for #Sony Studios for a bit.

Dragonheart: Wow! What do you want to be when you grow up?

Penelope: A popular writer so I will one day watch my short stories as shows on TV or see my kid's books as cartoons or dolls or toys :) Would love to see these characters around. http://www.dea-lenihan.blogspot.com/

Dragonheart: Final question. Of the 7 Deadly Sins, which one have you committed most recently?

Penelope: ANGER! I am mad at everything lately!! DO NOT cut me off with your car... :P

Dragonheart: I'll have to remember that! Thank you so much for allowing me to do this, it has been a real #pleasure.
Penelope: This has been terrific! What a great idea for #authors--you are helping get our names out in a super creative way! Thank you! The pleasure has been all mine.
